In 1989 our Hog’s pioneers began the search for Australia’s highest quality beef, suitable for creating the most tender and tastiest cut of Prime Rib Steak in the country.
With a focus on providing the best possible dining experience for our guests, we formed a strong produce partnership with Australia’s premier beef supplier, Teys. Our superior cattle are selected especially for Hog’s Australia’s Steakhouse, then our Prime Rib is graded to our exacting standard to ensure our customers’ quality expectations are met every time.
So just how do we cook our famous 18 hour slow cooked Prime Rib Steak?
Yes, we really do cook the steak for 18 hours! This means that our Grill Masters will prepare tomorrow’s Prime Rib in our unique Hog’s slow cooking ovens today. Tomorrow, our Grill Masters will monitor the ovens throughout the day to ensure a juicy, tender and medium rare Prime Rib Steak. After a long careful cooking process, the steaks are just about ready. Once we receive your Prime Rib Steak order, we flame grill it to seal in the maximum flavour and then cook it to your liking. Needless to say, Hog’s Prime Rib Steak is best served medium rare.
We plan as best we can to ensure we have more than enough of our steaks to serve all of our valued guests. Due to popular demand for that delicious tenderness, we do occasionally sell out and unfortunately can’t turn back the clock to cook more, as much as we’d love to!
