About Ngilgi Cave
The entrance to Ngilgi Cave begins with a breathtaking journey through time above ground at the Ancient Lands Experience, an accessible pathway that winds through stunning Yallingup bushland, where a series of interactive installations brings the creation of this remarkable place to life.
As you wander at your own pace through the Ancient Lands Experience, you’ll learn about cultural connections to the land, the local flora and fauna, and the formation of the pristine caves beneath the Leeuwin-Naturaliste limestone ridge in the South West corner of Australia.
The path leads you to the cave entrance, where you can descend to discover the majestic stalactites, stalagmites, helictites, and vividly coloured shawls that adorn Ngilgi Cave’s chambers.
Knowledgeable guides are positioned at key points throughout the experience to provide insights, answer questions, and share stories. The combination of above and below-ground experience takes around 1.5 hours and offers a full spectrum of natural and cultural heritage. There is also a nature-based play area for children to extend the fun.
